2012 Color Trends: Get of Green Kitchen and Bath

This 2012 Color Trends show is about five hot color trends projected for the year. In particular I’ll be showing you how you can incorporate them into your toilet and kitchen in a means which is logical for your taste and your property.

Green is going to be a solid color for the new year with leaves, moss, earth, forest and blossom sprouting on Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore, Behr and Yolo palettes, among others. Green is a relaxing shade — some even consider it a brand new neutral — which makes it particularly great for master bathroom retreats. It can work well in kitchens and other living areas, too. (I painted each the walls within my first condo sage and loved it. The master bedroom of my last home was home, too.)

Below are a few ways to incorporate it into your kitchen and bathroom, sensibly and stylishly.

A light green tile can also read neutral, which makes it a simple color to incorporate into a room for long term style. Here, it adds a serene note into a modern bath.

This master bathroom redo I designed for a customer not just incorporated green porcelain and glass tile, it featured beautiful gray-green Cambria (Hyde Park) quartz countertops which look like beach glass.

Green meshes beautifully with natural wood cabinets, as leaves improve trees. My guideline: If colours work together in nature, they’ll work well together in your property.

Everybody anticipates shower glass to be clear, but you are certainly not confined to that. Green glass is an ideal colour for enclosures — notably the sleek frameless kind — since it adds a degree of interest with gentle spa style. The tile still gets to celebrity, but you have complemented it with an unexpected touch of color. It may even reveal fewer water stains!

Pale green is a beautiful color for kitchen cabinets, particularly whenever you’re choosing wood flooring. Once done softly, as shown here, it works much like a white or cream wood to brighten up the area. The green tint adds a degree of interest the true neutrals can not, making your kitchen more memorable.

A green tint can be a fantastic kitchen countertop color, working too as it does with medium and dark forests. You will find the typical suspects: granite, quartz, Corian… But how about bringing a beach style home with a high-drama green-tinted glass counter tops.

Given their overpowering drama and price , you may wish to just rely on them to get a focal point place.

Custom window coverings can be a big investment in your house, but it doesn’t mean they have to be neutral. Here, ornamental tapes include a touch of color to antique white 2-inch faux wood blinds along with a striped kitchen.

Green paint works nicely for kitchens or baths. This kicky citrus adds a pop for this seriously neutral area. The lime walls state,”It’s party time!”

Restoration Hardware

Conventional Green Glass Knob – $13

Hardware is a fantastic way to add color to a neutral area. I adore the way glass knobs do it wholeheartedly and subtly. I enjoy these for a little powder or master room, where I don’t want a ton of them — just some gentle pops.

Chloe Mirror in Bright Green – $635

If your toilet just requires a shade refresher, a fun mirror can kick this up a notch. This is a superb way to bring the cool color you enjoy in a little manner that still speaks large.

Kohler

Toobiâ„¢ single-control lavatory faucet – $270

Kohler knows you like to change your own thoughts. Their fun Toobi faucet comes with three interchangeable spout colours. Green ties into the fashion color. White and black allow you to return to your serious self.
